Jeff grew up in a Christian home in New Jersey. He attended the University of Virginia, gaining a degree in communication and public relations. When he was 22, he made the decision to attend Calvary Chapel Bible College in Twin Peaks for the two-year program, where he met his wife Naomi. 

Sensing God directing them to the east coast, Jeff took a position with the government and simultaneously began the work of a pastoral ministry which led to the growth of Calvary Chapel DC Metro. Jeff was the senior pastor there for nearly 3 years. 

 In 2004, the Lord directed their steps back to the UK and Jeff planted a second church in the Lake District. He was the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel South Lakes for 5 years.

Once again, God called Jeff and his family back to the States and Jeff began working for the Joshua Fund, an organization specializing in humanitarian aid and relief work in the Middle East. He was able to use his gifting in public relations and his work with local believers shaped his friendly and engaging teaching style.
